Prime Time based in Connecticut, USA is a global provider of limousine services to virtually every major city in the world. Prime Time provides limousines for corporate travel and luxury leisure services.

Scope of work
Prime Time Limousines wanted a re-vamp of their existing website to give it a corporate look and at the same time an attractive and a user friendly design.

The client wanted a certain amount of interactivity and functionality to be part of the new website design. The interactive elements to be included were the current stock quotes and current weather report searchable on postal codes or names of cities. The functionality elements were Air Ticket Reservations, Flight Arrival & Departure Information and Hotel Booking.

The client wanted famous landmarks like Empire State Building, Madison Square and a few others to be modeled in 3D to be part of the interactivity. The client also wanted the areas which they offer limousine services to be displayed in a flash area on a revolving globe.

Challenges
The biggest challenge was to bring in all the interactivity and the functional elements into the limited flash area. Since the client didn’t want the interactive part to be part of the home page but at the same time didn’t want to be on a separate page, we decided to have a explore tab on the home page flash to toggle between the flash presentation and the flash interactivity.

The second biggest challenge was to make optimum usage of the limited space to bring in all elements like buildings, limousines, vendors, traffic lights, street lights, benches, statue of liberty, aircrafts, baseball stadium, road, park, etc.

The third challenge was to display the current weather situation of all places in the USA and all major cities in the world animatedly. Based on the feed from Yahoo Weather the climate conditions of the city were read, and displayed the appropriate animation

The other challenges were to integration of stock feeds, integration of weather, integration to third party sites for Hotel and Air Ticket Reservation.
